For clarity the title means UKRAINE and the way its spelled is way people of the region pronounce it.
Ten days back Mr. Putin went ahead and did what he had to but what did stand out, is that threats aren't always just threats. Many a times have seen in the past, countries coming close to war but never crossing that line. Vividly remember how close it was when Indian Parliament was attacked in the year 2001 and how for many months our forces just stared across border through their rifle scopes, for months. Every now and then, North Korean premier would launch a projectile and threaten the West about its capabilities - but never did a thing. I guess strong leaders stand out, America being an exception. Neither they have had a strong leader since long nor they need one for they don't belong to the group of other worldly nations; they rarely threaten, they just go and do their thing - totally unopposed.
Point being, another nation, other than United States of America took a similar action and a line was crossed within our minds. We are so programmed, we are so normal if America does it; however if a non-American nation does it, suddenly the guards are up and we want to dig / know, or if you are one among the millions hypnotised, you straight up demonise the aggressor. In case of America one knows its a futile effort; their propaganda machine is just too good and every now and then, they come with such new con terms that you really have to rake your head to know (least of all understand) what did they just say !
Hypocrisy lies out naked. Fun part is how many sheeples are there, that it has been ongoing for such a long epoch in the name of protecting freedom or neutralising threat or whatever, and how shamelessly the other camp is demeaned when they follow the same philosophy. Clearly the powers that be want it all for themselves, they do no want a bipolar or multi polar power arrangement for the world - the threat is apparent. So yes, KUDOS to the American way of life which has overtaken so many cultures and the empire is spreading its clout like never before. Back in the day the slaves and the masters were apparent / visible - not so now; the line that differentiates is so blurred, so veiled in fancy words and false ideas - its amazing.
That being said, other thing this conflict has brought to the fore is the power of social media. Disinformation / Misinformation / Propaganda - whatever you would like to call it, is all there and in tons. Propaganda machinery now has a tool like no other. To any seeker of truth, all these tools which are supposed to provide with quick information; leaves him / her all the more confused, depressed and more anxious. It is so maddening. Since the start of conflict, I have started to follow a couple of Twitter accounts and they all have one thing in common - their allegiance is defined. Either pro Russian or pro Ukrainian - I couldn't find a single neutral account and even if there was one, it is hard to trust the facts with this massive overload of mis/disinformation thrown at you. WOW.
So what is the way forward ? Things will happen as they have to and people will do what they have to, in times of confusion I think I'd go with my inner voice and follow that path. To me there seems no other way. War is no good for anybody, but it is good for money. I hope this mad construct / mad programming of our mind, ends.
Peace
