A new addition to the stable - Gypsy King 1.3 litre. By this write up I intend to document my instant feelings returning to Endeavour after 3 weeks of Gypsy ride.
Legend:
E - Endeavour
G - Gypsy
- E is huge - a bit bigger than what it should be. G is OK - keeps you bordered and reminds you of your fitness.
- E steering is so light and easy - easily maneuverable hulk. G steering is a task - I mean TASK. Cutting radius even in 4×2 is crap; reverse gear has to be used eventually. A good shoulder would be of help, steering a G.
- Thanks to GOD knows what, probably misinformation created by the Government - with the latest revision in fuel prices, E is 35% cheaper than G as far as fuel economy goes. And this statistic is on 4×2 mode.
- E weather control is unrealistic - what is outside is not even remotely known inside. G weather control is realistic - what is outside is exactly felt inside, probably a degree more. G keeps you grounded - in touch with nature.
- E gives you the comfort of a car with power of an SUV. G is G - its neither a motorcycle nor a car, but gives you an experience that lies somewhere between the two.
- E has more power, but with weeks of G drive I couldn't help but drive E at 60 kph on open roads.
Gypsy has been bought for the rally scene. But after having bought it, I am a bit skeptical on - do I really want to trash it ? Am having ideas to do Leh and Spiti on it - dont sound bad for it at all !
Lets see.
