RUSTAM

Rustam was horse of Adjutant to the Commandant of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun at passing out parade (POP) of 131 regular course. White regal in color, shining in bright December morning, mannered and trimmed to immaculate levels – Rustam was the pride of his riding Major. His very first POP, Rustam displayed why he was where he was, than any other. Attuned to levels of discipline that only Army could achieve, Rustam’s response to Major’s subtle commands were visibly commendable. As the 615 passing out cadets of IMA crossed the ‘Final Step’, so did Rustam follow commands of the parade commander to the bit.

The sheer display of sense of discipline that Indian Army instills not only in its Officers and Jawans but also in its knights alike, was very re-assuring. It was a josh filled experience, witnessing the POP of IMA as Rustam further added sparkle to the glamour of  ceremony.

Spare me I could not picture Rustam, for camera and mobile phone was not allowed inside; although gross violations could be seen.
